This is the last bird in my Holiday Bird Series.  As I mentioned in my last blog, posted yesterday on New Year’s Eve, it’s “out with the old and in with the new.”  The bird for New Year’s Day is as new as they come.  A newborn baby bird!  This particular bird is rather generic, but in many ways reminds me of a brand new baby robin bird, with it’s big overgrown yellow beak, and it’s featherless body.  Not that you could really see the feathers on my other birds, but still….this one IS featherless.

And here he is, in all of his newborn innocence:

This bird is made of Polymer Clay and is 13/16 of an inch tall, and 1 and 1/4 inches from tip of bead to tip of tail.  Don’t worry, he’ll grow into his beak.

I hope you have an awesome New Year!  It’s going to be lucky, I just know it!  HURRAH FOR 2013!!!!!
